my manager approved my time off. then scheduled a mandatory all-hands over it.

Three months notice. Flights booked. Accommodation sorted. Told my team. Then two weeks before: 'this one's important, we really need everyone there.' Cool. Fantastic.

am i overreacting?

be the first to weigh in

5 claps back

to clap back.

the thing is the all-hands is never actually important. there's just someone who wanted everyone in the room.

mandatory all-hands scheduled over a public holiday is always the one that breaks me

approved PTO is a contract. breach of contract has a name.

no all-hands has ever contained information that couldn't have been an email

I would have gone on the trip and joined late on my phone from the airport. some hills are worth dying on.
